Strephon, an Arcadian shepherd, wants to marry Phyllis, a Ward of
Chancery. When Phyllis sees Strephon kissing a young-looking woman,
she assumes the worst. But her "rival" turns out to be none other
than Strephon's own mother, Iolanthe, a fairy once married to the
Lord Chancellor - forbidden by Fairy Law!
A delightful springtime treat, Lyric Theatre's all-new production of
Iolanthe comes to the Montgomery Theatre in Downtown San Jose March
24th and runs through April 1st. Plenty of free parking nearby.
Fully staged in English with English supertitles projected above the
stage.
