Some Advice...

Hello! My name is Josh, and I have been involved with Theatre for 4-5 years (Im 18). ANYWAYS, I haven never been cast as the lead before, although I always wanted to.

At the college I'm at, we are doing 'The Rimers of Eldritch' and I just got word that I am playing the part of Robert Conklin...the lead.

This excites me, but at the same time, I am so scared. And I am not one to be afraid of a croud, because ever since I was little, I used to perform dance, music, and other things like that in front of an audiance. I dont know what makes this time so different.

I would really appreciate some advice on what I should do to make myself relax, and just fall into the character. Thanks

Approach it like you would any other part.

For the true professional actor, there is no difference in the part played.

Just remember, there are no big parts, only big egos.

Haha...Thanks a lot! After about...2 or 3 weeks of rehersials, I am begining to feel a lot more comfortable with the part, and now I am really excited in performing! Thanks for the advice though!
