Auditions for New Musical in San Francisco

INSIGNIFICANT OTHERS is the award winning new musical by Jay Kuo, directed by George Quick. It played to sold out crowds in January in its first workshop and is scheduled for 20 performances this summer at The New Conservatory Theatre Center in San Francisco.

Come be discovered as our show takes the musical theatre world by storm! We are now backed by $100,000 in investment and have big plans ahead for the show, both here in SF and nationally.

SEEKING: Men and women, Ages 18-35, in up to six principal roles.

COMPENSATION: Minimum $500 stipend per actor. Additional stipends available for CD demo recordings and promotional performance work.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS: Be prepared to sing 16 bars of up tempo music and 16 bars of ballad, preferably pop/rock or a current show tune. Some basic dance experience is required.

We are casting the following roles:

Margaret 20s/30s mezzo/alto, plus size. Great comic timing, versatile actress.

Jordan 20s true tenor, upper range A. Versatile comic/dramatic actor. Charismatic.

Luke 20s rock tenor. Sings comfortably on G and be able to pop to an A. A bright, clear vocal preferred. Should be sympathetic and attractive. Strong actor.

Kristen 20s mezzo-soprano. Quirky, funny, patters well and harmonizes excellently in tricky numbers. Comfortable upper range is a D.

Erik 20s baritone (floats to an E), acoustic guitar a plus. Good folk ballad voice, charming.

Andrew 20s/30s Baritone/bass low G to Eb. Legitimate voice, debonair.
