They understand your weird hours and not being available because of rehearsals and shows... they know the ups and downs you're going through because the part you're working on is kicking your ass. They'll come see your show unless they're in one themselves. You trust their feeback and know that when they say "good work", they mean it. :-)

I've gotten ok at giving constructive criticism when asked for it. But I will say that I tend to be a little more restrained with any negative feedback until the end of a run.... I think it's always hard to hear that you or your show sucks while you're in the middle of it. AND if there's anything good I can honestly say? I will start there.
